There are some simple things you need to follow to make sure that your candle burns great, looks great and is safe.
Always burn your candle until you have a fully melted layer of wax on the top
Not doing this can mean your candle tunnels - that's when it burns straight down the middle and you end up with lots of wasted wax on the jar. Burning for more than 4 hours is also a no-no.
Trim the wick
After use, you might find that the wick is curling in or is looking a little lumpy - before lighting again, give the wick a trim, just make sure you leave enough wick to light.
Ok so we know you know, but never leave a candle unattended and always ensure it's on a stable, heat resistant surface when lit. Keep away from pets, small children (and clumsy adults!) and always ensure your candle is fully extinguished after use.
